i had to go away somewhere for a while and i had to leave most things behind including my laptop and drawing tablet so thats kinda thrown a wrench in things. Ive spoken a bit in the past about having a lot of things going on which made me uncertain about finishing projects on time - but good news is i dont really have as much going on, like i was previously drowning in exams while juggling it with a lot of personal projects as well as trying to get a manga and small art things out, But exams are done now so im starting to work on my projects full time

for context i have been working on a video game for im pretty sure coming up on a year and a half now and its my main focus alongside smaller projects some of which i havent even spoken about yet so thats why im kinda quiet

mu schedule constantly shifts because of things outside of my control (which is a lovely time) so

this means that projects get shifted around a lot but i do have a clear direction for what i want to do in the next couple years

as for the manga yea idk what's even happening with that at this point im sorry lol. to be honest im (kinda) not even making it for the sake of making a good story im mostly doing it for everything surrounding the competitions i want to submit it to. but i do like the 2 main characters and their dynamic a lot and the themes i explore are things i want to explore in actual serious projects like my game for example. The thing i do after the manga is not just for a competition and honestly im more exited for it

for now ill probably take part in illustration contests and things while i work on projects in the background

btw these are some monster designs for my game but im reluctant to share like anything else about it. i probably wont finish this but if anyone actually wants to see it done ill probably finish it and post it as an actual art thing here. idk how im going to find the time to work on it alongside other things though

theres a high chance i will not be able to finish the manga by the start of july so ill have to adjust my approach a bit. Should i sacrifice some quality? I hate doing this but i feel a good approach would be making a select few pages, probably page spreads or the most important story moments, be things i put a lot of effort into polishing and everything else will have a rougher style - examples of the baseline quality would be the images here but even then i feel like ill have to sacrifice even more quality (hopefully not)

if i had infinite time i would go wild with airbrush and gradients and blending and all the other things i do in my normal illustrations but the problem here is that i basically have no time at all. i can always go back and make a very polished manga in the future tho. this is a small manga which is only for a competition so yea

i like how the moon turned out i used a splatter effect brush thing used the pinch tool on it and then added glow to achieve the effect

im probably going to be a lot less active because i need to focus on things like the manga im making and i already have a lot of things i have to juggle right now so even finding the time or motivation to do art is very hard, so yea i need to step away from making art on newgrounds kinda if i want to see my manga actually done

btw 134 followers from 6 artworks and 1 song is preposterous since i only started on like the 21st of april. i am very thankful to all of you - if you are not following consider changing that because im gonna come back releasing a lot of things in october(not 100% guaranteed because i can never accurately guess how long anything i make is going to take lol). You will hopefully be able to see the finished manga then too

Also, in that one news post i did i said "the king boo thing i posted was just supposed to build interest for a way bigger piece im making, not sure how long its going to take though. ill try to make some smaller things in between (like what im showing in this post here)" 

 im kind of forcing myself to finish the drawing i showed in that news post so ill probably drop it for now and come back to it when i have nothing else to do, but i cant guarantee when that is. Also im moving the super epic secret way bigger than the king boo piece to way later like im not sure if im even going to touch it until july. sorry for teasing big things and then like 5 days later shutting them down
